Water & Health » Pre-College Student Education

An essential part of ensuring qualified researchers in water purity for the long term is to engage young people with the issues of water availability and purification even before the undergraduate level. This is accomplished both through teaching training and through directly impacting students by means of workshops and summer camps. The Center offers two summer programs: a week-long camp at the University of Illinois that address the science and engineering issues with water purity and purification, and the six-week Analytics Chemistry program held at Clark Atlanta University. WaterCAMPWS seeks to instill in high school students an interest in science and engineering in general, and in water purification science and technologies in particular.
